Kalina Grupa - a graduate of cultural animation studies with an artistic profile - dance at the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Sociology at the University of Zielona Góra. She completed a qualification course for a contemporary dance teacher in Poznań. She started her dance education at the age of 7 with ballroom dancing, and in the later years she gained the S class. Fascinated by the new form of movement which was improvisation and contact improvisation, she started cooperation with Paweł Matyasik.
She began to treat the body in dance as a tool for endless exploration of quality in motion, while looking for originality, ugliness, fun and previously unknown ranges. She perfected her skills by taking part in numerous workshops with such teachers as: from Milan Kozanek, Ray Chung, Melissa Monteros, Melanie Sorin (Germany), Iyar Elezra (Israel / Germany), Małgorzata Mielech, Leszek Bzdyl, Anna Piotrowska, Jacek Owczarek. After years of searching, she found her place in the Dance Theater Studio, cooperating with it from the very beginning. Involved in many artistic and sports activities. Organizer of acrobatic competitions at the national and international level. Delighted by the GAGA movement method - created by Ohad Naharin, she took part in International Exposure 2019 in Tel Aviv.
